Question?

How do I begin racing?

1. Find a local track - try an internet search or http://www.tracksideguide.com/Tracks/tracks-state.htm.

2. Check out their schedule - usually on web site.

3. Go to a low pressure practice session - test & tune.

4. Bring safety gear - helmet, leather jacket, boots, gloves and pants if you have them.

5. Bring entry fee - typically $15 for test and tune, $20 for weeknight Street Wars $25 to $35 for weekend racing.

6. Sign waiver at the gate - tell them that you are there to race and pay entry.

7. Fill in tech card that you received at gate - place number on the bike.

8. Go to tech shack - for safety inspection - some tracks will have special requirements such as tether kill switch - call and ask or look at web site.

9. Go back to the pits and meet some new friends - look for some advice (old timers offer best choice).

10. Follow the crowd when they call bikes into staging lanes.

11. When the starter calls - it time to race - get ready to rumble.

12. Go through your setup and race routine - I will cover this later..... and now is when the fun really begins.
